How can I make this moment more…meaningful, memorable, momentous, and magical? What is my moment multiplier? I chose words that started with the letter “m” because “m” represents the slope, the rise/run in the universal linear equation y= mx + b.  Or in other words, the rate at which changes are taking place, both steepness and direction.

It seems an appropriate word to unpack, with all the layers of volatility and unrest in the world, games within games.  Now’s the time, to take the time, to be still and look within.  To lead with questions.  Is this what I want? Do I mean it?  What truth do I seek?  Is this how I want this moment to play out?  Can I be more involved and engaged?  More patient? Patience doesn’t have to be passive, but rather concentrated strength.  What small steps can I take to build momentum and be impactful?  How am I making others feel? Can I be more tender?  Start with yourself, your local community, family and friends and build from there.  Don’t be a tourist.

Be aware of your surroundings.  Remove yourself from the situation and take the 10,000 foot view to zoom out and see things through other people’s eyes, different perspectives, another lens.  Listen, learn and be open minded to other points of view.  This is a time to adapt.

Slow down to go faster.  Sit in the discomfort until the truth is realized.  The solution is in the problem.  Don’t avoid the pain.  Don’t look for the quick fix and medicate it.  Embrace reality and deal with it.  This is where growth comes from.  It’s not where you start, but the rate of change that matters. How quickly you can learn, iterate and evolve?  This is your slope.  This is where real change happens.

Visualize your deathbed.  Work with the end in mind.  It’s not just your goals, but the systems you put in place to realize those goals.  What are you most proud of during your champagne moment.  What is your most important thing?  What is your definite chief aim? Keep this front of mind and make it a daily practice.  Breath in your intent.  You always have a choice on which direction you choose to traverse your mountain.  On how fast or slow you choose to go.  As new facts enter the equation, are you open minded, able to adapt and change course or do you remain static in your ways?  Will you rise to the occasion or run?  How will you make this moment more…?
